The School opened in 2005 by Founding Pastor Joe Fred Russell with the vision to empower students with training, skills and a quality education to be successful in the Cosmetology profession. The school exemplifies Godly guiding principles, excellence, customer dedication, poise, charm, self-reliance, business practices and integrity. The philosophy of the school is to have a positive impact in the community by educating men and women, offering low cost tuition, affordable monthly payments, scholarships and employment opportunities at the Greater Jerusalem Beauty and Barber Salon located near the school. The schools philosophy is the foundation which the institution has significantly impacted the lives of the schools graduates.
The school is a state of the art facility with learner friendly classrooms, hands on training performance floor, dispensary, facial and break room, handicap accessible restrooms, locker area, comfortable client waiting area, reception area and administrative offices. Courses offered are Cosmetology, Esthetician, Hair Weaving and Instructor courses under the guidance and instruction by experienced trained instructors. The school recognizes that students differ in interest, attitudes and abilities and believes it is the responsibility of the school and staff to provide a well-organized, flexible and varied program of classroom and lab experience.
The school is an active vendor with the Department of Assistive Rehabilitative Services (DARS) that offers educational/vocational assistance to their clients. All of our instruction includes activities which meet the needs of women and men at their respective levels of development. These educational experiences provide all students with an awareness of habits, attitudes, ideals and skills necessary for living successfully, usefully and happily in our American Democratic Society.
